House Rules

We hope that you will enjoy our cottage and take care of it while staying.

  • No smoking or vaping in or near the house
  • No parties or gatherings. No extra guests or visitors
  • Dogs by permission only. Guests must agree to and follow all pet rules.
  • Please leave the cottage as you found it – clean and tidy.
  • Follow the check out instructions.

House Guide

  • The woodburner is used to heat the cottage in the winter months.
  • Guests must use the fire safely – do not place anything on top of the fire or close to it.
  • Matches are located on the mantle.
  • The fire will be set ready for you to light.
  • There is firewood out in the shed along with smaller bits to help get it started.
  • Use the lever on the upper left side to close the fire down a bit and make it burn slower – handy when you go out etc.
  • Never leave the fire door open or take burning items out!

The television has Freeview to watch all New Zealand free channels.

It also has the usual streaming platforms installed – you just need to sign in to your own account.

Please do not attempt to re-tune or alter the set up in any way.

  • There is also a small TV in the bedroom with the 2 single beds.
  • It has an Amazon Firestick attached so you can sign in to your accounts there. It also has a number of free streaming services like Plex and Tubi.
